Hi to everyone;
This week we have been training in our new assignment. We are in the Hosting zone at the Family History Library. This week we have been learning all the tricks of the trade with family tree and search in ancestry and other sites. We have learned how to do a proper search for records and then to source those searches. We have also learned how to added stories and photos to Family Tree. It has been a long week of sitting at the computer but the training will come in handy when we start serving the guest to the library.
Monday is our final day for training. We will be spending the whole on photos and IrfanView an editing program. Hopefully we will get it all down before we start our shifts. This coming week we are looking forward to Halloween as the library will close at 5 pm instead of 9 pm.
We have had one of the couples in our group struggle this past 3 weeks. Elder Thomas had surgery about 9 weeks ago for a hernia and has had to have another 2 surgeries to correct an infection that has persisted. He has been an unhappy camper the last few weeks. We hope he gets over the blues soon.
Today we attended the Primary Program at Erika's ward. It centered on families. Everyone did well. Since their ward has a small primary, the families of the children participated. The children sang well and the messages were great. Although Reese did mention a possible trip to Disneyland, which I think was unexpected by her parents. Charley and EVB both gave good short talks and Miss Mabel also had a part. Great Job everyone!! I really enjoyed the girls sing as a group.
Love to everyone
E/S Waller, Bama & Bampa, Chuck & Sharon
